Explanation



  • BL-12, BL-13 and LU-7 restore the dispersing and descending of Lung-Qi and expel
    Wind. BL-12 is particularly effective with cupping.

  • L.I.-20, Bitong and Yintang are local points to expel Wind from the nose and to stop
    itching and sneezing.

  • Du-23 and G.B.-20 are adjacent points to expel Wind from the head. Du-23, in particular,
    expels Wind from the nose and stops nasal discharge.

Bai Shao Radix Paeoniae albae 9 g
Wu Wei Zi Fructus Schisandrae chinensis 3 g
Zhi Gan Cao Radix Glycyrrhizae uralensis praeparata 6 g

Explanation



  • Ma Huang and Gui Zhi release the Exterior, expel Wind-Cold and stop sneezing.

  • Xi Xin, Gan Jiang and Ban Xia resolve Phlegm, in particular when it manifests with
    white-watery discharges.

  • Bai Shao and Wu Wei Zi, which are sour and absorbing, counterbalance the pungent and
    scattering flavour of Ma Huang and Gui Zhi and prevent injury of Yin.

  • Gan Cao harmonizes.
