Zi Fructus Perillae frutescentis and Pi Pa Ye Folium Eriobotryae japonicae.- If there is severe cough and other symptoms of rebellious Qi (such as fullness of the
chest) add Zhi Shi Fructus Citri aurantii immaturus and Xuan Fu Hua Flos Inulae. - If there is chest pain add Yu Jin Tuber Curcumae.
- If Fire has begun to injure fluids add Nan Sha Shen Radix Adenophorae, Mai Men Dong
Tuber Ophiopogonis japonici and Tian Hua Fen Radix Trichosanthis.

This tablet, already explained under Lung-Fire, can be used for chronic cough from Liver-Fire
insulting the Lungs as some of the herbs it contains enter the Liver.
It should be remembered that it can be used only for Lung-Fire (not Lung-Heat) with such
symptoms as a very dry-yellow tongue coating, dry stools or constipation, intense thirst, dark
urine and a Deep-Full and Rapid pulse.
