Zhu Ru Caulis Bambusae in Taeniis 6 g
Zhi Shi Fructus Citri aurantii immaturus 6 g
Zhi Gan Cao Radix Glycyrrhizae uralensis praeparata 3 g
Sheng Jiang Rhizoma Zingiberis officinalis recens 5 slices
Da Zao Fructus Ziziphi jujubae one date

Explanation



  • Ban Xia, emperor herb, resolves Phlegm, harmonizes the Stomach and stops nausea and
    vomiting.

  • Zhu Ru, minister herb, clears Fire, resolves Phlegm, stops nausea and vomiting and
    calms the mind.

  • Zhi Shi, assistant herb, moves Qi which helps to resolve Phlegm and makes Stomach-Qi
    descend.

  • Chen Pi and Fu Ling, also assistant herbs, dry Dampness which helps to resolve Phlegm
    and harmonize the Stomach.

  • Sheng Jiang, Da Zao and Gan Cao, messenger herbs, harmonize the Stomach and
    attune the decoction.
