Damp-Heat in Liver and Gall-Bladder
Clinical Manifestations
Dull hypochondrial pain and fullness, a feeling of heaviness, a sticky taste, nausea, yellow
sclera, dark urine.
Tongue: sticky-yellow tongue coating on one or both sides (Figure 15.2(384)).
Pulse: Slippery and slightly Rapid.
Treatment Principle
Soothe the Liver, clear Heat and resolve Dampness.

G.B.-34 Yanglingquan, BL-19 Danshu, G.B.-24 Riyue, L.I.-11 Quchi, SP-9 Yinlingquan, BL-20
Pishu and Ren-12 Zhongwan. Reducing or even method, except on the last two which should be
reinforced.
Explanation
- G.B.-34 moves Liver-Qi, soothes the hypochondrium and resolves Damp-Heat.
- BL-19 and G.B.-24, Back-Transporting and Front-Collecting points of the Gall-Bladder
respectively, clear Heat and resolve Dampness from the Gall-Bladder. - L.I.-11 and SP-9 resolve Damp-Heat.
- BL-20 and Ren-12 tonify the Spleen to resolve Dampness.
