Liver-Blood Deficiency
Clinical Manifestations
Slight hypochondrial pain and distension, premenstrual tension, frequent sighing, depression,
moodiness, dizziness, insomnia, tingling of limbs, blurred vision, scanty periods or
amenor-rhoea, tiredness.
Tongue: Pale and Thin.
Pulse: Choppy or Fine. It may be very slightly Wiry on the left side or the left Middle position.
This is a very common condition especially in women, when stagnation of Liver-Qi is secondary
to a deficiency of Liver-Blood.
Treatment Principle
Nourish Blood, soothe the Liver and move Qi.

Explanation
- ST-36, SP-6, Ren-4 and LIV-8 nourish Liver-Blood.
- LIV-14, G.B.-34, T.B.-6 and LIV-3 move Liver-Qi.
- P-6 moves Liver-Qi, calms the Mind and settles the Ethereal Soul.
- G.B.-41 is used in women if there is also a feeling of distension of the breasts.
