Liver-Blood Deficiency


Clinical Manifestations


Slight hypochondrial pain and distension, premenstrual tension, frequent sighing, depression,
moodiness, dizziness, insomnia, tingling of limbs, blurred vision, scanty periods or
amenor-rhoea, tiredness.


Tongue: Pale and Thin.


Pulse: Choppy or Fine. It may be very slightly Wiry on the left side or the left Middle position.


This is a very common condition especially in women, when stagnation of Liver-Qi is secondary
to a deficiency of Liver-Blood.


Treatment Principle


Nourish Blood, soothe the Liver and move Qi.

ST-36 Zusanli, SP-6 Sanyinjiao, LIV-14 Qimen, Ren-4 Guanyuan, LIV-8 Ququan, G.B.-34
Yanglingquan, LIV-3 Taichong, P-6 Neiguan, T.B.-6 Zhigou, G.B.-41 Zulinqi. Reinforcing
method on ST-36, SP-6, Ren-4 and LIV-8, even method on the others.


Explanation



  • ST-36, SP-6, Ren-4 and LIV-8 nourish Liver-Blood.

  • LIV-14, G.B.-34, T.B.-6 and LIV-3 move Liver-Qi.

  • P-6 moves Liver-Qi, calms the Mind and settles the Ethereal Soul.

  • G.B.-41 is used in women if there is also a feeling of distension of the breasts.
