A 45-year-old woman had been suffering from umbilical and abdominal pain for over 10 years.
The abdominal pain, which was accompanied by distension, was worse after eating, after
emotional upsets and when tired. The pain was relieved by pressure, by lying down and by the
application of heat. The abdominal pain also extended to the hypogastric region and the pain in

constipated. Her voice was very weak and rather weepy in sound and her eyes lacked glitter and
