Explanation



  • Mu Xiang, Sha Ren and Zhi Shi move Qi and thus help to resolve stagnation of food.
    Zhi Shi has a descending movement and therefore helps to move food downwards.

  • Chen Pi resolves Dampness and moves Qi.

  • Ban Xia resolves Phlegm and helps Chen Pi to resolve Dampness. It also harmonizes the
    Stomach, subdues rebellious Stomach-Qi and stops nausea and vomiting.

  • Bai Zhu tonifies Stomach-Qi and resolves Dampness.

  • Bo He is aromatic and helps to resolve stagnation of food.
