Explanation
This remedy has the same ingredients and functions as the homonymous prescription above. It
can be used for diarrhoea from retention of food and the tongue presentation is a very thick
coating which could be either white or yellow.
Liver-Qi Stagnation
Clinical Manifestations
Diarrhoea often alternating with constipation, abdominal distension, belching, poor appetite,
mental depression, moodiness, nervous tension, irritability.
Tongue: may not show much or the sides may be slightly Red.
Pulse: Wiry.
Treatment Principle
Pacify the Liver, move Qi, strengthen the Spleen.
