would limit the record’s radio airplay, recommending that she use only the
last two words of this phrase for the title. Joplin demurred. “Well, I’ve
always settled for cheap thrills, anyway,” she said. With Crumb’s comic
splash panel at the top,Cheap Thrillsthe record went on to become one of
the biggest-selling rock albums of all time.
