A number of common verbs have irregular present indicative first person forms which
also form the basis of the present subjunctive:

The following verbs are rather more irregular:

A number of verbs have irregular preterite forms: not only is their stem irregular,
but the endings of such verbs are often slightly different from those of regular
verbs.


Infinitive 1st pers. sg. present indicative Present subjunctive

Caber‘to be contained’ quepo quepa, etc.
Caer‘to fall’ caigo caiga, etc.
Decir‘to say’, ‘tell’ digo diga, etc.
Hacer‘to do’, ‘make’ hago haga, etc.

Salir‘to go out’ salgo salga, etc.
