When the students type new numbers into the original problem, the worksheet
recalculates to show them the new intermediate results.


The following screen shot is taken in Excel’s Show Formulas mode. Look on
your keyboard. On the upper left side, just above the Tab key and to the left of
the 1 key is a key with a tilde (the squiggly thing above an “n” in some Spanish
words) and a reverse apostrophe or grave. To turn on Show Formulas mode,
hold down the Ctrl key while pressing the Grave (Reverse Apostrophe) key
(Ctrl+`).


Tip:
Ctrl+` toggles in and out of Show Formulas mode. To return to a normal spreadsheet,
press Ctrl+` again.
