help promote health in these individuals?

the following basic needs for the individuals
served:

in your favorite TV dramas. Identify their risk

REFLECTIVE PRACTICE USING CRITICAL
THINKING SKILLS
Use the following expanded scenario from
Chapter 4 in your textbook to answer the
questions below.
Scenario:Samuel Kaplan is an 80-year-old man
who walks with a cane after recent knee surgery.
His wife, aged 76 years, was diagnosed with
Alzheimer’s disease 1 year ago. The couple has
no family living nearby, but a son lives with his
wife and children about 200 miles away. After it
is suggested that his wife be admitted to a nurs-
ing home, Mr. Kaplan breaks into tears and says,
“I don’t think I can continue to care for my wife
at home anymore. But how can I even consider
putting her in a nursing home?”
1.What basic human needs should be addressed
by the nurse to provide individualized, holistic
care for Mr. Kaplan?

2.What would a successful outcome be for this
patient?
