siderthePossibilitythathiswifemighthavecarelesslygotinastranger's
carandthenshemighthave,fearfully,askedtiredrivernottostopand
naturallydenied the whole affair. He must investigate the matter and
once he is certain that she is not guilty, he must be forgiving.
