Satan.Itis likelythat suchaglancewould be thecause ofsorrow and
griefforsometime.Flirtingisregardedasanillnessbypsychiatrists.An
eyewhichhasbecomeusedtothishabit,wouldneverbesatisfied.Look-
ing in this manner becomes a cause of many corruption’s, where the
youth can deviate from the right path.


Whattheeyesdo notsee theheartwould notdesire.Onemightini-
tiallyresistthe graveconsequencesofforbiddenglances, butfinallyhe
may break down.and become influenced bywhat he has seen. Imam
Sadiq(AS)stated:'Frequent(forbidden) lookscreatelustinones heart,
andthisissufficientfordeviatingthelooker'."Islam,knowingtheharm
of such lewd looks, has forbidden it altogether.


Amanwhosuddenlyseesawomaninthestreetsorelsewhere,should
atoncedirecthislooksomewhere elseorclosehiseyes.Heshouldnot
persistinstaringatwomen.Thismaybedifficultatfirst,butwithalittle
practice he can do it.


Wise people know that preventing oneself from forbidden looks
would removemanypotential dangerssuchasmurder,crime, suicide,
divorce,nervousbreakdown,mentaldisorders,weaknessorheart,anxi-
ety, family rows, etc.


Iamawareofthedifficultiesthattheyouthareconfrontedwithatthis
age,andIknow thatclosingones eves toobscenescenesin thestreets
andelsewhereisnoteasy,butthereisnotanywayotherthantoignore
them.


Aman who can closehis eyes toother women,would be protected
frommanycorruption’s.Insteadhewouldenjoyhisfamilyandpeaceof
