MosaibnJa’far(AS)stated:'Aman'sfamilymembersarchisdepend-
ants.Thuswhoeverisbestowedwith theblessingsof Allah,shouldex-
pand onhis dependants'comfort, or else suchblessings may be taken
awayfromhim'."ImamRiza(AS)stated:'Itisworthyofamantogrant
hisfamily-members with comfortbyhisspending, sothat theydo not
await his death'."
ImamAli (AS)stated:'Arrangefruitsforyour dependantseveryFri-
daysothattheymaybepleasedwiththecomingofFriday".ExtendYour
HelpintheHouseholdWorks.Althoughhousekeepingisadutyofwo-
men,itmustberealisedthatrunningtheaffairsofahouseisnotaneasy
task.
Ahousewife,howevermuchtimeshespendsonhousekeeping,would
notbeabletodoitall.Thisisespeciallytruewhenone hastoentertain
one'sguestsorwhenonebecomesill,etc.Housekeepingistiresomefora
housewifeandthus husbandsareexpected toassist their wivesin this
respect.
Itisnot fairthat amansitsaroundthe houseidlywhilehiswife re-
mainsbusyinsomuchworks.Itisonlyproperforhimtohelphiswife
as much as possiblewhenever hecan. This he]p is a signof affection
which attracts one's wife to her husband and family.
It is not at all a manly act that a man should not touch anything
aroundthehouse,orordershiswifearound.Ahouseisnotacommand
headquarters;butaplace oflove,kindness,andco-operation.Dear Sir!
Do not think that working at home is degrading. On the contrary,
through your assistance, your wife would appreciate you more. "The
