Thirdly,youmaybe innocentof thesubjectofher suspicion,butthe
suspicions of women are mostly not baseless either. Perhaps, through
carelessnessyouhavedonesomething whichhasaffectedher mentally
andmadehersuspiciousofyou.Youshouldponderoveryourprevious
actscarefully.Youmightthenfindthecauseofhersuspicion.Inthisway
youcansolvetheproblembetter.Forinstance,ifyoujokealotwithoth-
erwomen, trynotto doitanymore.Whatisthe pointofbeing called
handsomeorwell-manneredattheexpenseofyourwife'ssuspicionand
herdistrusttowardsyou?Whyshouldyoutriggerhersuspicionbyjok-
ingwithyoursecretaryorawomancolleague?Whyshouldyouemploy
a woman to work for you? Do not joke with other women in parties.
Ifyouwant tohelpapoor widow,whyshouldyounot informyour
wife?Youcanevenhelpthewidowthroughyourwife.Donotthinkthat
youareaslave, oraperson inchains.You shouldnotbe aslave,buta
wisemanwho,uponanagreementwithyourwife,istakingcareofher.
Youshouldhelpherovercomethisproblem.Throughpatienceandwis-
dom,youshouldremovethedangerswhicharethreateningthefounda-
tionofyoursacredfamilylife.Youwouldthencureyourwife'sillnessas
wellassaveyourchildrenfromunhappiness.Youwoulddoagreatdeal
ofservicetoyourselfbothmentallyandmaterialistically.Moreover,Al-
lahrewards menwho are willingto sacrificeatvitalmomentssuchas
this.
Imam Ali (AS)stated:'Act moderatelywith the womenin every in-
stance. Speak to them nicely in order that their deeds become good'."
ImamSajjad(AS)stated:'Oneoftherightsofawomanuponherhus-
band is that he should forgive her ignorance and foolishness'."
"TheProphet (SA)of Allahstated: 'Anymanwho copeswith his in-
competent wife, the Almighty Allah, upon his patience (towards his
wife) on every occasion, would grant him the reward of patience of
Hazrat Ayyub (AS)'."
