Chapter 33

Cleanliness

Oneoftheimportantdutiesofahousewifeismaintainingcleanlinessin
thehouse.Cleanlinessisthekeytohygieneandhealth.Itpreventsmany
illnessesandattracts thefamilymembersto thehouse.It isasourceof
respect for the family.

"TheProphet(SA)ofAllahstated:'ThereligionofIslamisbasedupon
cleanliness'."
"TheProphet (SA)of Allah alsostated:'Islam is immaculate,so you
shouldmake effortsforcleanliness becauseonlythe clean ones would
enter Paradise'."

Alwayskeepyourhousecleanandtidy.Dustitoffonceadayandre-
moveallstainsanddirtfromthewalls,doors,windows,furniture,and
otheritems.Keepthe garbagein acovereddustbin,keepitawayfrom
theotherrooms,andkitchen.Emptythedustbinregularly.Donotkeep
the garbagein frontofyour house.Do not letyour childrenurinate in
thegardenortheyard,andiftheydid,washtheplaceimmediately.Dirt
is acentre fordangerous microbes.Do not pile up dirtydishes.Wash
themassoonaspossible.Donotforgetthatdeadlygermsgrowondirt
andcanbecomefataltoyouandyourfamily.Washthedisheswithclean
water, and afterwards keep them in a clean place. Remove all dirty
clothes,especiallybabies'nappies,fromthevicinityofallroomsandkit-
chen and wash them as soon as possible.

Keepallthefamilyclothes,especiallytheunderwear’s,cleanandtidy.
Washthemeat,vegetablesandallyourfoodingredientsbeforecooking.
Washallfruitsbeforeeatingthembecausesomefruitsaresprayedwith
poisonous substances.
