The flamingo resting on one leg, the head, neck and body pavé set


throughout with single-cut diamonds, the plumage calibré set with
emeralds, rubies and sapphires, with cabochon sapphire eye, and ruby

This brooch is modelled on the famous Duchess of Windsor brooch,
designed by Jeanne Toussaint for Cartier and purchased by the Duchess


in 1940. It was sold by Sotheby’s in Geneva in April 1987 for $1.7million.
