Carved to depict a Bacchante in profile with fruiting vines in her hair,
the gold mount with applied ropetwist and bead decoration, on similarly


decorated suspensory loop, length 6.8cm.

A 19th century hardstone fob seal
The oval cornelian panel carved with a depiction of the Three Graces, the


reverse depicting Heracles and the Nemean lion, within a gold openwork
frame, length 5.2cm.

In Greek mythology, the Three Graces were elegant goddesses who


lived on Mount Olympus and presided over the arts and social activities,
symbolising the beauty and grace of young women. Heracles, warrior


and son of Zeus, strangled the Nemean lion with his bare hands.

Two memorial pendants
The first comprising a late 18th century circular panel, decorated to the


front with a willow tree and seed pearl urn motif, bordered by a white


enamel inscription to blue enamel ground, (some enamel damage), to
the reverse with a gilt scrolling initial on an opalescent enamel ground,


within a plaited hairwork border, the second with circular glazed plaited
hairwork panel, to a border and bale highlighted with half pearls, glazed


verso, (pearls untested), pendant lengths 5.5cm and 4.9cm respectively.

The bracelet millegrain collet set with a line of graduated cushion-
shaped gemstones, to include sapphire, garnet and zircon, on an
openwork bracelet stamped ‘18ct’, the belcher-link long chain spaced
with lapis lazuli beads, each centred with faceted rock crystal, bracelet
length approximately 16cm, chain length 148cm. (2)

A 17th century Persian silver-gilt pendant/amulet
Of octagonal form with two suspension loops, the centre drawing out
to reveal a small compartment with hinged lid, the body pierced to both
sides with delicate floral interlace, the edges engraved with two bands
