Hypoglycemia. Reactive hypoglycemia, an oversecretion of insulin in response to eating
sugar, is a rare condition that causes trembling, anxiety, headache, fast heartbeat, and dif-
ficulty in thinking clearly. Hypoglycemia may also be caused by the presence of a pancreatic
tumor or an overdose of insulin. This is a more serious condition that, uncorrected, may lead
to coma or death.
