Conclusions



  • Maintenance of body water and electrolytes is
    a tightly regulated balance of intakes and out-
    puts

  • Certain conditions such as gastrointestinal pa-
    thology, malnutrition, physical exertion, and

  • In developing countries, where childhood
    malnutrition is often superimposed on diar-
