restorable, non-vital primary molar. (b) Caries is eliminated and access
made to the pulp. Gentle canal debridement is undertaken with small
files and irrigation. (c) Disinfection of the canal system. A pledget of
cotton wool barely moistened with ledermix is sealed into the pulp
chamber for 7-10 days. (d) The tooth is reopened at a second visit, and,
after irrigation and drying, a soft mixture of slow-setting zinc oxide-
eugenol cement is gently packed into the canals with the cotton-wool
pledget. (e) The pulp chamber is packed with accelerated zinc oxide-
eugenol cement before definitive restoration of the tooth.
