Expanding the world of wizardry

Fans loved Harry Potter so much that his

wizarding world moved beyond the page and

screen to real-world experiences. The Making

of Harry Potter studio tour in London lets fans

visit sound stages where the movies were

made and hop aboard the actual Hogwarts

Express train used in the fi lms. At the Wizarding

World of Harry Potter theme parks in Florida,

California, and Asia, fans can ride Harry’s friend

Hagrid’s motorbike, help Harry escape from the

goblin bank Gringotts, get a drink of butterbeer

at the Leaky Cauldron pub, and buy a wand at

Ollivanders Wand Shop.

The future of Harry Pott er

After more than 20 years of magic, Harry’s story

continues. A hit Broadway show, Harry Potter

and the Cursed Child, is onstage in New York

City, San Francisco, California, and Europe and

will soon expand to several more countries. The

third fi lm in the spin-off movie series Fantastic

Beasts will be released in April 2022. Early next

year, an interactive Harry Potter exhibit

will have its premiere in Pennsylvania

before embarking on a world tour.

Many of the fi rst Harry Potter fans

are grown now, with families of

their own. Through the books,

movies, plays, and theme parks,

they can share their fascination

with Harry and his magical journey

with their own children.
