More than 200 runners
took part in the recent
Halloween Hustle 5-kilome-
ter race, sponsored by the
Caledonia Area Chamber of
Commerce.
Eli Velting was the overall
winner of the race, posting a
time of 19:37, two seconds
faster than runner-up
Anthony Lawlor’s time of
19:39. Joshua Maier finished
third with a time of 19:58.
Rebecca Wiltjer won the
women’s race in a time of
20:27, good for seventh place
overall. Jennifer Duprey was
the women’s runner-up with a
time of 21:56.

Winners among 200 in Chamber’s Hustle


The Nov. 15 meeting
opened with roll call and the
secretary’s report. One fish
jumped into the fishbowl,
and two fish jumped out.
Chris read mail from Kim
Murdock. Due to advocate
adjustments, the new advo-
cate will be Diane Dallas-
Strang. In her TOPS Team
Talk, Kim talked about
“Cultivating an Attitude of
Gratitude” year-round. Focus
on appreciation, she said.
Find three things for which
to be thankful every day. Be
with grateful people, Kim
said, and be in the present.

Mary Mullane’s newslet-
ter focused on Motivation.
Alice lost the Ha-Ha box.
The meeting ended with
the Re-dedication pledge.
TOPS, a weight-loss
group, meets every Monday
at Lincoln Meadows in
Middleville. (Press Apt. 205
for entrance.) Weigh-in is
from 4 to 4:15 p.m., and
meetings begin at 4:15. A
mask must be worn when in
the building. Social distanc-
ing is practiced.
