TIME MANAGEMENT
- Manage the phone trap: Screen
your calls when you are focusing on
an important project; then return
them in their order of importance. - Set agendas for meeting: Everybody
has things to do; stay on course and
finish the meeting sooner rather
than later. - Start meetings on time: This will
avoid wasting valuable time wait-
ing for late comers and signals that
timeliness is a priority. - Maintain a healthy rhythm: Don’t be
complacent, don’t slack off—keep
it going. - Don’t burn yourself out: Know when
to step on the gas or ease off to
meet deadlines.
CHAPTER 4.
TIME MANAGEMENT IN THE WORKPLACE
- Build a workplace where time man-
agement matters: This improves
everybody’s productivity and creates
an environment of respect.
