Reminiscence
Nick Bannister (Hugh Jackman), a
private investigator of the mind, helps
his clients to unearth lost memories.
However, after he takes on a supposedly
simple case for new client Mae (Rebecca
Ferguson), she disappears – making
him obsessed with finding out the truth
about her.
FIVE FACTS:
- Reminiscence is directed and written by
Lisa Joy, who also co-produces. - Joy is married to Jonathan Nolan, a brother
of Christopher Nolan, who directed Jackman
in the 2006 film The Prestige. - This is the first film for which Thandiwe
Newton is credited under the original
Zimbabwean spelling of her first name –
which, for earlier movies, was spelt ‘Thandie’. - Jackman and Ferguson had previously co-
starred in the 2017 musical drama film The
Greatest Showman. - Ironically, Ferguson doesn’t sing in that
film but gets to do so in Reminiscence.
