Microscopically, non-specific changes are seen including interstitial
fibrosis, chronic inflammatory cellular infiltration and tubular atrophy.
Clinical presentation :
- Manifestations of the etiologic cause.
- Manifestations of chronic renal impairment (see page 47) which may
progress to end stage renal disease.
Treatment:- Of the etiologic cause, and
- Treatment of the chronic renal failure, whether conservative or with
renal replacement therapy in advanced stages (dialysis and
transplantation).
