- Polyuria and polydepsia resulting from urinary concentration
defect - Stone disease and nephrocalcinosis
- Acute renal failure may occur with severe hypercalcaemia and the
associated dehydration owing to polyuria - Chronic renal failure due to stone disease, nephrocalcinosis and
chronic tubulointerstitial nephritis.
