Causes of respiratory Alkalosis:
1- Iatrogenic in patients under ventilatory support.
2- Liver cirrhosis, salicylate intoxication, exercise and hypotension.
3- Hyperventilation syndrome in neurotic patients
4- Cerebral hypoxia and intracranial disease
Clinical features:
1- Manifestations of the cause
2- Parasthesia, tinnitus, neuromuscular irritability and/or cerebral
vasoconstriction
Treatment:

2- Breathing into a mask (rebreathing of expired air with its high level of
Co 2 ).
