Hepatorenal Syndrome (HRS)
Definitions :-
HRS is an unexplained, functional renal failure occurring in
patients with advanced liver disease. The diagnosis of HRS is considered
when there is no laboratory or anatomic evidence of other known cause of
renal failure.


HRS occurs in patients with cirrhosis, acute hepatitis, fulminant
hepatic failure and with hepatic malignancy.
