THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

INTRODUCTION

This chapter discusses the fruit of the Holy Spirit. In the next chapter you will learn of
contrasting qualities called the works of the flesh. In a final chapter you will learn how to
develop spiritual fruit.

WHAT IS THE FRUIT?

The fruit of the Holy Spirit refers to the nature of the Spirit revealed in the life of the believer. It
is spiritual qualities which should be evident in the lives of all Christians.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for power. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is for character in the life
of a believer. The following chart illustrates differences between spiritual gifts and fruit:
