my name... (John 14:26)THE SPIRIT OF PROMISE:
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of promise because He is the Spirit that was sent to fulfill the
promise of God:
And being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should
not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which
saith, ye have heard of me.For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy
Ghost not many days hence. (Acts 1:4-5)THE SPIRIT OF HOLINESS:
And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of
holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. (Romans 1:4)THE SPIRIT OF FAITH:
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believe and
therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.
(II Corinthians 4:13)THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION:
It is through the Holy Spirit that we are "adopted" into the family of God as the children of God:
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have
received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
