And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they
sent them away. (Acts 13:1-3)

An apostle desires to minister in places where others have not worked:

Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest
I should build upon another man's foundation;

But as it is written, To whom He was not spoken of, they shall see: and they
that have not heard shall understand. (Romans 15:20-21)

To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another
man's line of things made ready to our hand.
(II Corinthians 10:16)

The apostle is willing to adapt to other cultures and lifestyles in order to win people for Christ:

For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all,
that I might gain the more.

And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them
that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are
under the law;

To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God,
but under the law of Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all
things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

And this I do for the gospel's sake... (I Corinthians 9:19-23)

The apostle develops churches with trained leadership that can carry on without him:

And when they had preached the gospel to that city and had taught many,
they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the
faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of
God.
