AT TACK ON

PEARL HARBOR

Japan launches a surprise aerial

attack against the United States

naval base at Pearl Harbor on

the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The

deadly assault inflicted significant

damage on the US Pacific Fleet

and over 2,300 Americans were

killed. The next day, the United

States officially entered WWII

by  declaring war on Japan.
