Lilies, like those on the chambers
that house the royal cenotaphs,
are just one of the many blooms
that adorn the Taj Mahal. Around
the lily, intertwining vines and
flowers were created using
parchinkari, a technique in which
a wall is inlaid with tiny pieces of
precious stones.
