ZOOM LENS
SIGMA 150-600MM F5-6.3 DG DN
SPORTS
$1,499.00 EDITORS’ CHOICE
Sigma’s made-for-mirrorless update to one of its best SLR
zooms is our favorite zoom lens this year. The 150-600mm
F5-6.3 DG DN Sports is a lens with plenty of appeal for
everyone from birders to sports photographers. At 4.6
pounds, it’s reasonable to carry for a hike, and its all-
weather design means you can use it for your visit to
Yellowstone even if you should end up getting
drenched—and it’s a pretty decent macro lens as well.
It’s available for L-mount cameras from Leica,
Panasonic, and Sigma and in Sony E-mount.

ACTION CAMERA
GOPRO HERO10 BLACK
$399.00 AS TESTED EDITORS’ CHOICE
This year’s GoPro Hero10 Black builds on last year’s
redesign. It looks just like the Hero9 but comes with
welcome updates, including the best stabilization we’ve
seen, faster frame rates to record slower slow-mo,
excellent touch response, a smoother front display, and
more. It is as tough as you want, can go underwater to
33 feet without a case, and is small enough to mount
anywhere. The Hero10 Black comes bundled with a year
of GoPro’s useful cloud service for $399, but it costs $100
more if you don’t want to subscribe. The pricing is a little
weird, but the camera is great.

resolution, snaps 20MP stills, and includes HDR and flat
color profiles for video editing pros. It has a load of safety
features too, including a sensor that warns you when
