Halloween he had to go out with his
colleagues to a big house that had
recently had a chimney fire to give
the owners a talk about fire safety.
He stood outside with another
colleague holding his helmet upside
down in his hands and the man of
the house came to the door. He took
one look at the fire-fighters and
proceeded to put some sweets in
their helmets muttering under his
breath, "They're getting a bit too old
to be doing this these days..." and
