Teach Yourself Visually Knitting

(Michael S) #1

Most drop stitch patterns involve
performing a yarn over two or more
times in the same place across the row.
When you work the next row, you knit
across, dropping the yarn overs from
the needle, and this results in a band of
mesh-like vertical strands between reg-
ular rows. Yarn over patterns employ
yarn overs in conjunction with decreases
in various configurations, resulting in a
broad range of openwork fabrics.
