Teach Yourself Visually Knitting

(Michael S) #1

You knit this scarf the long way,
casting on a lot of stitches onto a long
circular needle. It knits up very quickly
that way, especially at 3 stitches per
inch. Because this scarf is knit in simple
garter stitch, you should use a yarn that
is rich and varied on its own, like this
beautiful hand-spun wool. It’s a good
idea to test the yarn against your neck
to make sure it is soft and not itchy.
