Teach Yourself Visually Knitting

(Michael S) #1

This is an easy project that gets
you started on changing colors in
stockinette stitch. It is a cheery
blanket that makes a good baby gift.
Be sure to use a yarn that is machine
washable. The blanket shown has a
single crochet edge, which not only
adds color but also helps to uncurl
the edges. However, if you’re not
ready to try crochet, you can instead
whipstitch (see page 186) the edge
in a contrast color.
