Row 1 (RS): K1, p1; rep from to end.

Row 2 (WS): P1, k1; rep from to end.

Rep rows 1 and 2 for seed st.

Pattern Stitches

WASHCLOTH IN GARTER RIB

1 CO 34 sts in A.

2 Work in garter rib until piece measures approx 10 inches from beg.

3 BO sts in patt.

FINISHING

1 Weave in ends.

2 Thread a tapestry needle with B and embroider the perimeter of the cloth

in whipstitch (see page 188).

How to Make the Washcloth Set

WASHCLOTH IN SEED STITCH

1 CO 34 sts in B.

2 Work in seed st until piece measures approx 10 inches from beg.

3 BO sts in patt.

FINISHING

1 Weave in ends.

2 Thread a tapestry needle with A and embroider the perimeter of the cloth
in blanket stitch (see page 189).
