SLEEVES
1 Using B and long-tail CO method, CO 33 (37, 41, 45) sts.
2 Change to A and, beg with a purl row, work 5 (5, 7, 7) rows St st.
3 Next row (RS): Starting with row 1 of chart B, work through all 7 rows of
color patt, beg rows where indicated on chart.
4 Next row: Change back to only A and purl 1 row.
Note:You may want to use a row counter to keep track of increase rows.
5 Next row—Begin sleeve shaping: Using A, inc 1 st each end this row, then inc
1 st each end every fourth row 5 (7, 9, 9) times—45 (53, 61, 65) sts.
6 Work without further shaping until sleeve measures 7^1 ⁄ 2 (9^1 ⁄ 2 , 10^1 ⁄ 2 , 11^1 ⁄ 2 ) inches
from beg, ending with a WS row.
7 Shape sleeve cap: BO 3 (4, 5, 5) sts beg next 2 rows.
8 Next row (RS): K3, ssk, k across to last 5 sts, k2tog, k3.
9 Next: Purl.
0 Rep these last 2 rows (steps 8 and 9) until 9 (11, 13, 11) sts rem.
!Work another 2 inches (about 12 rows) without shaping, ending with a
WS row. Place sts on holder.
@Rep steps 1–11 to complete second sleeve.
FINISHING
1 Weave in ends, except those that can be used to sew seams.
2 Sew all raglan seams, except the one for the right back raglan seam.
3 Slip sts from back neck, right sleeve, front neck, and left sleeve holders onto
size 8 circular needle. Join yarn B and k22 (24, 26, 28) sts, k2tog, k7 (9, 11, 9)
sts, k2tog, k21 (23, 25, 27) sts, k2tog, k8 (10, 12, 10) sts.
4 BO sts purlwise.
5 Steam entire sweater, including seams.
6 Sew rem raglan seam, joining neck trim.
7 Sew side and sleeve seams.
8 Steam sweater, including seams, again.
