Teach Yourself Visually Knitting

(Michael S) #1

It’s fun to share your love of knitting with others. A perfect way to do this is to start or join a
knitting group. All kinds of knitting groups have started up across the country over the past few
years, in a wide variety of venues.

THE KNITTING/BOOK GROUP
Why not combine your love of reading
with your love of knitting? Get a group
of knitter/readers together, and when
you reach a consensus about what
work of literature you would like to
read and discuss together, set a
monthly schedule. You can get together
at each other’s homes on a revolving
basis and discuss that month’s book
while working your needles.

THE CAFÉ KNITTING GROUP
Many knitters have started knitting
groups that meet once a week at a
local café. Sharing knitting tips and
conversation over a cappuccino is a
delightful way to pass an hour on a
Sunday afternoon. Café proprietors
often welcome the business, as long
as everyone purchases something
from the shop.
