Born June 9, 1933 in LaBolt, SDDONALDDAYTON MALKERSON,age 88, died on
November 2, 2021. He is survived by his wifeof 57 years, Mary Cress Malkerson; children,
Erik D. Malkerso(Jessica), Mary Nichole Ehinger (Nathaniel); andn(Shannon), GuyT. Malkerson

entered the Navy and saw the world as anaviation electrician on the carriers Randolph

Born in Lincoln, NE on June 11, 1926, toBenjamin and Blanche Polsky, Bud joined the
U.S. Army after high school, where he wasassigned to the 10th Mountain Division in Italy
during WWII. After the warhe becamethe youngestSergeant Major in the,atthe age of 19,
ArmyNebraska in 1950, with.Bud graduated from the University ofadegree in Business
Administration, and in 1952, married Maxine,the love of his life.After moving toWashing-
ton, DCDalmo,the second discount appliance store in,Bud and his business partner founded
the countrytion Award for the Appliance Stor,receivingaCertificate of Distinc-eCategory,
amonEvans Distributorsgother awards&Jewelers.Later,heco-owned,and then retired
in 1983.
Along with his business acumen, Bud was adedicated family man, withapassionfor cars,
who lovetrips with his familydjazz and big band music,and doingjigsaw puzzles.,taking road
He also served on the board of several Jewishorganizations and wasavolunteer with Meals
on Wheelsall who knew him and will be dearly missed..Bud was loved and respected by
