automaticallyaddsnumbersforyou.
However,youmayhatethefact
thatWordlikestotakethestraight
quotationmarksyoutypeand
changethemintothecurlyvariety.
Youmayloathethewaya web
addressis convertedintoa clickable
linkandlooksa bitoutofplacewhen
youprintyourdocument.

1 Autoformatsettings
In ordertotakecontrolofautomaticformatting,youneed
to find thesettingsrelatingtoit.ClickFileintheOfficeribbon,
and then Optionsatthebottomofthemenuthatappears.Inthe
Word Optionswindow,clicktheProofinglinktotheleft-hand
side, and thenclicktheAutoCorrectOptionsbuttontotheright.A
dialog boxwillpopintoview.

2 Access AutoFormat options
If you find that you are on the AutoCorrect tab, move to the
AutoFormat As You Type tab instead. There are numerous setting
here which can be controlled by tick and unticking check boxes,
starting with the ‘Replace as your type section’ where there are six
options you can customise whether or not Word changes what
you type into a different format – such as replacing 1/2 with ½.
