Eufy RoboVac 15C
Available for around £216 online, this robot vacuum
cleaner is one of the cheapest connected models around,
but packs in plenty of smarts and strong cleaning
capability. The built-in Wi-Fi connection means that it
works with both an app and Alexa voice control. The app
enables you to take manual control of cleaning, or to set
schedules for it to run automatically, and it will send you
notifications when you need to know something. It also
comes with a physical remote, in case you need one. The
unit itself uses infrared technology to avoid collisions, and
has drop sensors to avoid tumbles down the stairs.
Maybe the most useful part is the BoostIQ tech, which
increases suction on surfaces that require it, such as
carpets. With roughly a 100-minute runtime (depending
on suction strength), it can get round a whole house
easily enough on a charge, too. Plus it will automatically
head back and recharge itself.

The smartest robo vac around adds a host
of extra app-based options to the kind of
stuff offered by the Eufy. It uses lasers to
map your house as it goes around
cleaning, which not only helps it find its
way precisely, but also means you can see
an accurate map of where ithas
and where any obstacles were.Y
also use this map to set ‘no-go’
avoid areas where it might gets
around delicate objects.
