Draw a rounded trian-
gle for the ankle joint.
Add a vertical line for
the leg bone, a curve
for the top of the foot,
a line for the foot itself,
and an upright for the
line of the toes.Now add the cuff, with
an inverted V detail,
and flesh out the leg.Get some body into
the shoe. Make a thick
sole; then put a couple
of lines in to indicate
the top of the shoe.Create the profile of
the heel, add a trim
detail to the cuff, and
indicate a couple of
creases in the top of
the boot.Now we can draw a foot wearing a shoe. Here’s a funky little ankle boot with a cuff,
which would look good in a fantasy or sci-fi story. It has a thick cushioned sole for
comfort, and a white trim detail around the cuff. Note how the upper of the shoe
is creased as the foot steps forward, which makes the material of the shoe look soft
