Draw the body of the
shoe, with its strap.
Define the sole.Start with a rough
triangle and a rough
rectangle, and join
them together with
straight lines.Create a couple
of highlights, add a
fastener to the shoe,
and then indicate a
ribbed sock.Flesh out the foot by
joining the triangle
and rectangle; then
indicate the bottom of
a leg.Ink your sketch. Then,
color the shoe black,
working around the
highlighted areas you
defined. The shoe now
has the appearance of
shiny patent leather.The shape of the shoe may vary, but it should always be able to contain a realistic
foot shape. This style is a typical school-type shoe, with a sock, probably worn by a
young female character. It has a strap closure across the top of the foot and a broad,
rounded toe.
