bisect To divide into two equal parts.
compass A tool used for drawing circles and arcs and for
measuring distances, consisting of two pointed legs joined
together at one end.
contour The outline of a figure or body.
crown The top of the head.
devious Willing to lie to or trick others in order to get
something.
drape To become arranged in flowing lines or folds.
ellipse Oval.
feisty Full of spirit, energy, or courage; spunky.
gouache An opaque and heavier form of watercolor paint,
traditionally used in illustration.
guileless Innocent.
lapel Either of the two parts of a garment folded back
on the chest, especially a continuation of a jacket or
coat collar.
modeling The representation of color and lighting effects
to make an image appear three-dimensional.
petticoat A skirt worn under a dress or outer skirt, often
made with a ruffled, pleated, or lace edge.
pleats Folds of equal width made by doubling cloth upon
itself and pressing or stitching the cloth in place.
