Public Speaking

Marketing Resource #94: If you are considering public speaking as
part of your marketing strategies, you may want to look into becoming
part of a local Toastmasters International club (www.Toastmasters.org).
Weekly (or bi-weekly) club meetings offer a non-threatening setting in
which to learn not only speaking skills, but leadership skills as well.
There are nominal dues assessed every six months; however, you are
welcome to visit a few times before deciding if you want to join.
Marketing Resource #95: Attend local church functions. Contact
several local churches and offer to bring a presentation of interest such
as “How to Avoid Foreclosure,” or “How to Buy a Home Using Creative
Financing.” Give a free gift of printed copies of your special report
(Chapter 2), or your DVDs and CDs (Chapter 7). Or, you can also opt to
offer one-on-one consultations with interested persons at the close of the
meeting. This same tactic will work just as well with civic groups.
